On April 30, Carroll Hospital’s East Pavilion was transformed into a thoroughfare of derby delights and great food and drink, all to benefit Carroll Hospice’s programs and services, at the 19th annual Taste of Carroll.
A total of 44 vendors offered their specialties to a crowd of nearly 700 guests at this year’s event. In the spirit of the fun derby theme, this year virtual horseracing was a new offering, with spectators betting on horse races and those winners being entered into drawings for prizes.
At the event, several hospice staff members and supporters were honored as Hospice Heroes for their outstanding support of Carroll Hospice and for going above and beyond to provide excellent care to hospice patients and their families, including: Mike Burden of the Kim Kelly Burden Foundation; Tracey Beyer, R.N.; Melissa Dolan, L.C.S.W.-C.; Ethan Markowitz; John W. Middleton, M.D.; and Sue Stuller. Learn more about our 2018 Hospice Heroes.
In all, $186,000 was raised for Carroll Hospice’s programs and services to help those with end-of-life care in our community. Thank you to all of the sponsors, attendees and vendors who came together to make this event a tremendous success!
Save the date for the 20th annual Taste of Carroll: April 29, 2019!
