I love scrapbooking! This simple activity affords me the opportunity to spend highly coveted time with dear friends, showcase the wee bit of creativity that I inherited and because I am so very behind in putting pictures to paper, I am able to re-live precious memories and joy-filled celebrations.
In recent days, due to our much-anticipated expansion of Dove House, we have been decluttering and organizing closets and storerooms. It is amazing what accumulates over time! Just like a family might, we found pictures of our younger days, with volunteer activities, staff celebrations and organizational accomplishments captured in treasured photos and mementos. These are reminders of the vision, commitment and generosity of the many volunteers, community members and associates who worked diligently to build the Carroll Hospice that we know today.
I am proud to be a part of an organization that has such a strong history of excellence and a well-earned reputation for meeting the needs of the community. As we continue to grow, you can be confident we will continue to provide the quality end-of-life care for which we are known. And, in the process, we are poised to create many more memories in the years to come.
Do what you love, love what you do! Happy Spring!
Regina Bodnar, R.N., is the executive director of Carroll Hospice.
